Yeon Blora (연블로라)
I am Soyeon Kim, a Modern Korean Folk Art illustrator working in both traditional and digital mediums.
Additionally, I am a designer who creates and designs art goods and packaging.
Yeon Blora is my artistic nickname, combining a part of my Korean name, 'Yeon', with my two favorite colors—'blue' and 'bora' (purple in Korean).
What I draw
My artworks comprises traditional Korean painting brushstroke styles, known as 'Minhwa', with own modern perspectives.
With a positive outlook, I draw inspiration from simple joys of everyday life.
By utilizing negative space, I create a sense of tranquility and invite viewers to connect with the artwork on a deeper level.

I capture the beauty of Oriental/Korean traditional folk art in my illustrations, displaying its elegance, fine details, softness, and strength.

I want to share to bring solace and warmth to viewer's hearts, spreading joy in not only in galleries but also homes, workplaces, and various surroundings.
